Mixed Cricket Club „Hengelo”, founded in 1954, has two teams with a mixture of young & not-so-young players who enjoy playing the King of Sports!

The First XI plays in the 4th Division of the Dutch league in 2011. As well as local players, the team has a distinctly international flavour with players from as far afield as India, Australia, Pakistan, West-Indies and England. 

We are also looking to have our junior members play against othe clubs in the east of The Netherlands. More junior members are very welcome!

Mixed Cricket Club „Hengelo” is a friendly club, which is looking for players to strengthen its squad for 2009, so that cricket can continue to develop and prosper as a sport in the region.

In the off-season (October-November and February-April) we practise indoors.
 

Interested in JOINING US in 2011 ?
Previous experience is advantageous, but not essential. Beginners are more than welcome – coaching is provided!

The annual membership fees are very low compared to other sports, therefore that should not be an obstacle.

Our cricketground is located on Sportpark Slangenbeek, Torenlaan 58 c, 7559 PJ, Hengelo Overijssel.

Brief route description:
On Motorway A1: exit 30 / HENGELO, take direction BORNE. At 2nd traffic lights right (Europalaan opposite of IKEA). After two roundabouts just prior to a bridge that would lead you over the motorway go left (Beneluxlaan). After 100 m. take first (small road !) right (Torenlaan; opposite of EATON/Holec buildings). You will find the accommodation at your left hand side after ± 1,5 km. Our ground is on the Sportpark Slangenbeek at the right hand corner. Our pavilion is white with a red roof. Parking on the parking area.
 Coming from Centrum Hengelo Ov.: take the Deurningerstraat, continue until you have passed the bridge over the Motorway A1, at roundabout 3/4 left (you see a police station and firebrigade) and enter the Torenlaan. This road is to be followed straight on (= left turn). After approx. 200 m entrance to Sportpark Slangenbeek at the right hand side. Our pavilion is white with a red roof. Parking on the parking area.
